    Unusual problem with outdated ACER laptop computer (Vista period)


    I’ve simply reformatted an outdated ACER laptop computer (Vista period) which had w7 put in on it.

    It’s got 3GB of DDR2 RAM.

    For some bizarre cause I can not set up x86 model on it as a result of Home windows Installer retains shutting down and restarting the machine.

    x64 model appears to be putting in simply wonderful.

    I spoke too early. I can not set up neither x86 nor x64 model. On section 2, after first reboot I obtained a message saying one thing like “Windows installer cannot configure Windows to un on this hardware”.

    Mannequin is ACER Aspire 5735.

    PS – Attempting IDE mode as an alternative of AHCI. I’ll search for a BIOS replace if obtainable.
